Sundays River Adventures

Sundays River Adventures offers a half- or full-day safari tour in the world-renowned Addo Elephant National Park. Addo is the only park in the world that is home to Africa’s “Big 7” animals (elephant, rhinoceros, lion, buffalo, leopard, southern right whale and great white shark) in their natural habitat and is a must-see destination in the Eastern Cape.

Join our qualified guides on a day safari and learn about the large variety of animals and the surrounding areas. Each drive is unique and unpredictable as the animals are constantly on the move. Our guides will, however, do their best to provide the best sightings possible.

We also offer a 2 or 3 hour Sandboarding adventure where you get the chance to ride some of the biggest dunes in the Eastern Cape on both types of Sandboard's, the lie down board and the stand-up Snowboard type.

This unique adventure starts with a scenic boat cruise on the Sundays River where you will see the local birdlife feeding in their natural habitat. After about 10 minutes we reach the famous Alexandria Coastal Dune field which is the largest, most impressive and least degraded dune field in South Africa.

We supply all the equipment except shoes which you must bring along. Our experienced guides will give you lessons and help you get started. Remember to bring along loose fitting clothes swimming gear, cool drinks, sunglasses and cameras.

Our River Cruises along the majestic Sundays River are available for 1,5 or 2,5 hour tours and allows you to relax while enjoying the wildlife and birdlife our beautiful river has to offer. Tours are perfect for small or larger groups, including birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties and year end functions. Snack platters can be arranged on request.

Apart from these activities we also offer delicious food at our A Taste of Africa Restaurant & Coffee Shop which is a 5 minute walk from our activities. The restaurant is open from 7am until late and offers a variety of foods to suit any meal time.
